Bud-e Early Readers full set - 1-20

The Bud-e series is an early reading programme for tamariki. The books encourage children to learn to read and write through fun stories with humour, engaging characters and amusing illustrations that capture children’s interest.

The books gradually introduce new words and constructions in te reo Māori, and build the word bank children need to become independent readers.

This is a fantastic range. Each one includes:

- Prompting questions for the adult (in te reo Māori), to engage the tamaiti in the story and develop literacy skills. Things like "How do you think the character is feeling?” and “What do you think will happen next?”

- A section at the end of the story for tracing the word

- A 'find-the-word' feature.

We strongly recommend this series for all tamariki who are new to learning to read.
